The hostel boasts a charming colonial building, beautifully renovated with authentic Kerelan decor. It offers comfy beds with reading lamps and plugs, as well as sparkling clean dorms. the staff provides exceptional hospitality, organizing activities like boat rides at short notice and always being quick to respond on WhatsApp.

One downside is the limited cooling options in the rooms, with only fans available for ventilation.

The experience in this hostel was completely different. Although I only stayed one night, the hosts made sure to make my stay as pleasant as possible. the rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with air conditioning, the hostel is pure magic, it has an impressive garden and the architecture of the mansion is special. Tranquility is guaranteed for those who seek this, but also for community meetings, in the evening guests cooking together, playing different games and exchanging opinions among the bananas and the masala tree. the hosts are kind, friendly and always ready to help you. the place is beautiful, with a very authentic charm. the staff was very accommodating and always there for a chat, recommendations. They booked us on a canoe trip just the day before, it was nice and easy and the trip was fun. They offered us tea every time we were coming back and arranged a tuktuk for our early departure. I had such a great stay here, the house itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. the rooms are clean, bed and pillow are very comfy. the highlight was definitely the staff. I was sad due to some personal problems, and they did everything possible to see me smile again – and they succeeded! An incredible place. An old Portuguese building that has been renovated and very taste-fully done with Kerelan decor. A very big and open building with great places to sit and chill, also a great place to meet other travellers and share stories. the staff are amazing and always on hand as well as the rooms clean and comfortable. Have stayed a few times and has great access to the town as well as short trip to the beach. Only one bathroom so had to wait sometimes, but it was kept very clean so that’s ok! Lots of mosquitos too but I think all of Alleppey is like that.
